And because we believe that cultural knowledge should be economically rewarded, every reviewer earns affiliate income on the purchases they drive. Your opinion has value. We make sure you get paid for it.
Every review on 121212.reviews contains the reviewer's unique affiliate link. When a reader clicks that link and makes a purchase within 30 days, the reviewer earns a commission — automatically, without any additional action required. Payouts are processed monthly. There is no cap on earnings.
We require full disclosure on every review page and throughout the site. Our community knows when a link is an affiliate link — and they trust it anyway, because the review is real.
121212.reviews is being built as a federated network. In Phase 2, curators will be able to own city- and category-specific subdomains — hair.atlanta.121212.reviews, music.chicago.121212.reviews, food.nola.121212.reviews. Each hub will be run by a locally embedded curator who knows their city's scene, their community's needs, and which products actually deliver.
This is the same model powering 121212.community — the federated city hub network — applied specifically to reviews. The .community hub for a city is the front door. The .reviews hubs go deeper, category by category.
121212.reviews is one of six platforms in the 121212 ecosystem — alongside 121212.market, 121212.music, 121212.fun, 121212.law, and 121212.culture. Reviews surface directly on product and event pages across all six sites. Every purchase made through a review link benefits both the reviewer and the ecosystem as a whole.
